Objective:
To assess the quality and quantity of foods and beverages provided to children aged 0–5 years in family day care and identify structural and sociodemographic factors associated with the nutritional quality of food provided.
Design:A cross-sectional study measured the food and beverages provided to children using weighed food records. The number of serves from different food groups was calculated according to the Australian Guide to Healthy Eating, and a healthy food provision index score was created. Associations between structural and sociodemographic factors and healthy food provision index scores were analysed using linear mixed models.
Setting:Family day care services in two large geographic areas in New South Wales, Australia.
Participants:One hundred and four children in thirty-three family day care services.
Results:During attendance at childcare, most children met recommended servings of fruit but not dairy, vegetables, lean meat and meat alternatives and wholegrains. Discretionary foods exceeded recommendations. Children’s age, socio-economic status and the type of main meal provided were significantly associated with the healthy food provision index score.
Conclusions:Foods provided to children in family day care are aligned with dietary recommendations for fruit but not vegetables, dairy, lean meat and meat alternatives, wholegrains or discretionary foods. Interventions to promote healthy eating are needed to support families and educators to improve the nutritional quality of food provided to children.

Summary
This chapter provides an overview of major empirically-supported therapeutic approaches to alleviating relationship distress, including behavioral couple therapy and its derivatives (cognitive-behavioral couple therapy and integrative-behavioral couple therapy); emotionally-focused couple therapy; and insight-oriented couple therapy. The underlying theory and recent empirical support for each approach is described. The emerging theoretical work on common factors in couple therapy across different orientations as well as the development of a transtheoretical model are included. Also, the chapter discusses the adaptation of couple therapy beyond the treatment of general relationship distress to address specific, difficult to treat relationship problems, such as infidelity and intimate partner violence. We also review the use of couple-based interventions for treating individual problems such as psychopathology. Finally, the chapter addresses the importance of providing couple-based interventions in a manner that is sensitive and appropriate for couples of different sociodemographic characteristics such as age, race, education, and sexual orientation.

Objective
FFQ are popular instruments for assessing dietary intakes in epidemiological studies but have not been validated for use in severely obese pregnancy. The aim of the present study was to compare nutrient intakes assessed by an FFQ with those obtained from a food diary among severely obese pregnant women.
DesignComparison of an FFQ containing 170 food items and a food diary for 4 d (three weekdays and one weekend day); absolute agreement was assessed using the paired t test and relative agreement by Pearson/Spearman correlation, cross-classification into tertiles and weighted kappa values.
SettingAntenatal metabolic clinic for severely obese women.
SubjectsThirty-one severely obese (BMI at booking ≥40·0 kg/m2) and thirty-two lean control (BMI = 20·0–24·9 kg/m2) pregnant women.
ResultsThe findings showed that nutrient intakes estimated by the FFQ were significantly higher than those from the food diary; average correlation was 0·32 in obese and 0·43 in lean women. A mean of 48·5 % of obese and 47·3 % of lean women were correctly classified, while 12·9 % (obese) and 10·0 % (lean) were grossly misclassified. Weighted κ values ranged from −0·04 to 0·79 in obese women and from 0·16 to 0·78 in lean women.
ConclusionsOverall, the relative agreement between the FFQ and food diary was lower in the obese group than in the lean group, but was comparable with earlier studies conducted in pregnant women. The validity assessments suggest that the FFQ is a useful tool for ranking severely obese pregnant women according to the levels of their dietary intake.

While mating behaviour in onychophorans has been documented in only a few species, it would appear that male reproductive strategies include both dermal and vaginal insemination. To add to this diversity, the males of many newly described species of Australian onychophorans display elaborate head structures. In some species, these head structures have been shown to carry spermatophores. Here we describe Florelliceps stutchburyae gen. nov., sp. nov., a species possessing a unique head structure. An account of its unusual mating behaviour is provided in which the male's everted head structure was placed against the female's gonopore and held there by the claws of the female's reduced last pair of oncopods. After the individuals separated, the female's genital opening was covered by a spermatophore and histological sections showed that sperm had been released into her reproductive tract. A review of mating behaviour in onychophorans is also included with a discussion of sperm acquisition by the female and its correlation with her reproductive cycle.
